Things to Do!

Village Playground – We are fortunate enough to have our very own Playground in the Village of Noke, featuring, swings, slides, and adventure Playground and Zip Wire! On leaving Oxford Country Cottages after crossing over the small bridge, directly on your left, you will find a Plaque leading you to the Playground in the Playing Field – enjoy!

Rectory Farm – Rectory Farm is found in the village of Stanton St.John and is one of our favourite places to go with our young Daughter. On leaving Noke, turn left and keep going for a couple of miles and you will find it sign-posted on your left. It offers a fantastic Farm Shop, excellent PYO, Tractor Rides, Bouncy Castles and huge Straw Bales for the Children to exhaust themselves on! Only open during the Spring and Summer months. No entry fee.

Blenheim Palace – Located in the delightful village of Woodstock, just 7 miles from Noke. Again, one of our firm favourites, as there is always something going on for everyone to enjoy! The Pleasure Gardens is an excellent area with small children, as it boasts two Adventure Playgrounds, a Butterfly House, a lovely Cafe and Picnic Area and beautiful grounds to walk around in, with a Train ride to and from the main Palace. The Palace itself is fascinating to explore and it also offers miles of stunning walks and gorgeous gardens to admire and, throughout the year, holds various interesting and fun Events, do check out their website for more seasonal information. A real must if you are staying with us, pay for one day and they’ll convert your tickets into annual passes!

The Milk Shed – The Milk Shed at Weston On the Green is a wonderful place to go to for a Family Brunch. It is very family friendly, well equipped, serves delicious food and has the added bonus of a Ice-Cream Parlour on site! Just off the A34 on the way to the M40.
